Week 29: Your baby’s bones have fully formed

This week, your baby weighs just under 3 pounds or 1.36 kg. Your baby’s bones are fully formed — still very soft and continuing to grow. Your baby’s eyes are almost completely open and soon they will be able to look up at you. #imagine

Essential Nutrients this Week: Calcium, Essential Fatty Acids (Omega-3s), Choline, Vitamin B12

Food of the Week: Walnuts

Nuts are an energy dense and highly nutritious snack, exactly what you need at the moment — more kilojoules. Nuts also contain fibre, 10-20% protein, vitamins and minerals including calcium, as well as a range of mono and polyunsaturated (good) fats. A handful of nuts or one serving (30g) is a great place to start. Five whole walnuts or 10 walnut halves equal one serve.
